Event Rebrand and Digital Update

Since 1992, the Chesed Student Awards had recognized upstanding Jewish teens in Atlanta for their excellence in leadership and dedication community service. However, the long-running program suffered from lack of technology, awareness, and attendance.

Logo

Using the organization’s existing brand standards, I created a new logo to represent the youth and innovation they were embracing after 28 years.

Video

Recognizing the need for visual content to appeal to new audiences and social media algorithms, I created the above video to tease the new direction of the awards program. Additionally, I hired a videographer to shoot 3 videos featuring award winners and a behind-the-scenes look at the mission and history of the program.

Digital Registration

Through 2018 the awards utilized a six-month nomination and application process of mailed letters, paper forms, and phone reminders. In 2019 I streamlined their method by developing a campaign of digital press releases, online nomination forms, and digital follow-up with participants to better fit the needs of Generation Z.
